• I used to think my only interest in attending the Academy was to train to become a Workshop leader.
• But now I think I might enjoy being a member of a site visit team and learning from experienced members of the team, as well as being a Workshop leader.

• I used to think that being a site visitor or consultant required "coordinator" or "administrative" experience.
• But now I think that regardless of your teaching discipline your experience and knowledge bring a valuable perspective to your feedback and observations.

Reflecting on consultant and site visitor training • I've changed my mind about: being a site visitor/reader/consultant.
• I used to think: I wanted to attend the Academy in order to become a workshop leader, and I wasn’t sure what to expect about the other aspects of the Academy. All the sessions have been so informative, and I’ve learned so much that I did not know before.
• But now I think: I am really looking forward to the prospect of undertaking these other roles in addition to being a workshop leader. Even as a workshop leader, this additional knowledge will be so helpful. This has been such a worthwhile experience.

Reflecting on consultant and site visitor training What has impacted me the most is that I wish that I had had this training prior to completing our Self-Study in 2007-2008 and our MYP site visit in 2011. The IB documentation makes much more sense and now I better understand what has been stated in the 'Standards and Practices' and how it is expected to be articulated in terms of 'evidence'.
